The Vice President reports to the President. Primary
responsibilities are: ensure sound fiscal policy; effective
financial controls; oversight of facilities; strategic planning;
institution budgeting; and direct supervision of the Senior
Accountant and the Director of Brite Housing. Member of Executive
Management Team. Liaison to Board of Trustees on financial,
investment, audit and facilities management issues.
Professional Qualifications
o CPA license or Master’s degree in business, finance or a related
field.
o 3-5 years upper level management experience.
o In-depth working knowledge and experience in financial issues
unique to non-profits (including such areas as accounting
standards; endowment investment management; and IRS regulations and
reporting).
o Strong working knowledge of financial technologies and internal
controls.
o Interpersonal skills for developing and sustaining productive
working relationships with diverse constituencies.
o Excellent strategic thinking and conceptual skills.
o Proven abilities in financial reporting and communications.
o Ability to convey complex financial information in lay
terms.
o Appreciation of shared governance.
o Respect for Brite’s core values of scholarship that engages
